Easter

So I'm really not a blogger but I do like putting pictures of my kids up. My uncle told me at our family reunion that he used to keep up with my blog. I told him I would be better about blogging that was a month ago and Easter was, wow has it really been five months? Anyway who are we kidding I am going to post this as March (oh I am not as late as I thought Easter was in April this year!) to just keep some order in my post every five months blog. I don't like to write but I do like reading and remembering what the kids said or how they have changed. Mine tend to change a lot from post to post. . .
I do remember that we had a wonderful Easter and Nana and Dado came to our church then we had an Easter feast of hamburgers and salsa. I did put some brie out just because I am fancy like that.

Church Easter Egg Hunt
Brooklyn LOVED her chocolate Bunny

My three favorite people!!
My sweet boy had just turned five!
Mama and her baby girl
We learned a valuable lesson with these eggs. Don't put them in wet grass. It had rained and the dye was everywhere and all over the baskets and our hands, and the kids, but it was still so fun to dye them! Definitely a favorite memory of mine and I love doing it with the kids.

So stinkin' cute!

Peek

A - Boo!

Brooklyn look at Mommy, Brooklyn can you smile for Mommy?
Please??

We are definitely at the Monkey See, Monkey Do stage with Brooklyn.  Whatever she sees her Bubba do she is sure to follow.  I have found this can be good and bad.  Good because a lot of the time it's funny.  Bad when Weston burps and says excuse me followed by Brooklyn trying to burp and then saying "Mu ME!"  But still kind of funny.  She follows him everywhere and is always concerned about where he is.  They are really starting to play together well (most of the time).

What a stinkin' cutie!!  We were getting out of the car for school and he asked why I kept looking at him.  I told him because he was SO stinking cute.  "Mommeee I am NOT stinky!"  But you are really cute, if I do say so myself.

No matter what toys I get them the most entertainment comes from this $10.00 laundry basket.  Now if they could just fold and put away all the clothes. . .

January Pictures

Weston had a blast playing basketball for the YMCA.  It was laid back and every boy got a chance to dribble down the court and shoot a basket.  Weston said he wanted to make 10 baskets this season and he definitely did!  I asked him what his favorite sport to play so far has been and he said karate.  This kind of cracked me up since he hasn't done karate.  Maybe it's something we should try.

Brooklyn watching her "bubbo" play

Going for the free throw

Of course it would turn out that Brooklyn likes Weston's chair and he likes hers.  Usually she won't let him sit in it but this must have been a really good show!

Boy, did I luck out she loves to help with the laundry.

I love the fall. . .

Isn't her dress precious? Staci made it and the bow for her and I LOVED it! She got a lot of use out of both of them. She ended up with three different Halloween outfits, I decided I really like themed clothes for the holidays. Something you really can't do to much with a boy. Oh the joys of having a little girl!!

Lovin' my Bubba!
Walk baby, walk. . .
Brooklyn is still not really walking. She is taking more steps everyday but I wouldn't say she is walking. She does really well if she is holding on to us and loves to walk with Weston. I think she doesn't really care if she walks or not. It's been a source of hurt mommy feelings when the subject comes up at a certain Mom's group I'm in. Only because they wanted to put her in the creepers class with babies who are MUCH younger than her. Logically I get it but it still didn't really make sense to me, so maybe I don't get it. I had to pull out my "I have a degree in early childhood card and I work as a nursery coordinator at our church" to get my point across that she needs to be in a class with children her own age so she will be around other children her age and want to walk. It ended up with an exasperated me saying "Her brain is fine! She just doesn't want to walk!" That was about a month ago. So naturally it came up again on Friday. I chose to just nod my head and thank them for their thoughts. Most of the time when it comes up lately I go into "well I walked late, my nephew was 17 months, her brother was 15 months. She didn't really stand a chance to walk by 12 months" I want to follow up with, and why do you care?
The comments some people make are really comical when you think about it. I had one lady ask me how my son has brown eyes and my daughter blue. I am trying to think of something really clever to say and Weston busts out with "Mommy and Weston have brown eyes and Brookie and Daddy have blue eyes!" DNA is kinda weird like that. . .

Here's a story of a lovely lady. . . .

More themed clothes

Ryder, Hunter, Weston and Brooklyn. Hayden wasn't really feeling in the mood for pictures this day. We'll have to try again this weekend. Getting a picture of all five is pretty difficult I think we are going to let the professionals have a go at it.

Dirt Pie

We spent Memorial Day at Amy and Gary's and had a blast. All the boys play really well together and Brooklyn is always excited to see her Baby BFF McKenna. It was Jeremy's Birthday so I brought his absolute favorite dessert, Oreo Dirt Pie. Anytime I ask him what he would like for dessert this is what he wants. Apparently Brooklyn loves it too. I didn't find out until later that you shouldn't give chocolate to babies under one, oops. For whatever reason Brooklyn was bib-less. Thanks to my fabulous new washer and dryer their wasn't an Oreo to be seen after this outfit was washed! This is the washer and dryer that makes me LOVE doing laundry. It also provides family entertainment to watch the clothes spinning around because the lid is see through. It can also hold 29 towels or something crazy like that. This was a selling point to me because if I can't wash the sheets plus the mattress pad and maybe quilt all together it's just not worth the time. I know Mom you are shaking your head and thinking none of the stuff is getting clean but I beg to differ!

Anyway here's an action shot of the boys on the massive water slide!

My house 7:30 A.M.

What's yours like?

A friend sent some pictures out labled like this and I thought it was so cute. But really who are we kidding at my house this is more like 9:00 A.M.
I was surprised this morning was just the boots and cowboy hat because it can be anything from the knight costume to buzz lightyear, spiderman or batman. I never know who will be eating breakfast with me! But if Weston truy had his way he would be in PJ's all day long. He recently got to wear jammies to school and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. When I told him he ran up the stairs shouting "PJ's, PJ's, PJ's!"

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The kids St. Patty's Day pictures~
Lovin' those lashes! Let's hope Brooklyn gets blessed in that department too. It would be so much fun to put mascara on those lashes to see their full potential. I'm sure my husband and son would strongly object to that. It was just a thought. . .
Weston went through a phase of about two years where he refused to have his picture made. Thankfully he's out of that now and loves to be in pictures.
Brooklyn wasn't really in the picture taking mood. She just wanted the camera. She was just stating to sit really well at this point but I still used the boppy to help her a little bit. Every time she would reach up for the camera she would face plant. Never seemed to bother her though, she would just roll over to her back and start rolling around all over the place.
I put a sheet up on the posters of the bed thinking it would be a good back drop. I'll have to try it again sometime with sheets that haven't set in the dryer for two days. Maybe it was worth getting the steam option on my new dryer.

Brooklyn's Parent Child Committment

We had Brooklyn's Baby Dedication at Second Baptist. There must have been 70 babies and their families there. Weston's was big too but not anywhere that size. It's great to see so many families committing to raise their children in the church and to love Jesus. It was a great weekend Nana and Dado came to watch, Granna and Papa drove in from Midland, and Collin was in town visiting Meagan so they came too! Meme and Acie were also in town staying with Mom and Dad so they even got to be here!

Isn't her dress beautiful?! Mom found it before Hunter was born hoping that someday a granddaughter could wear it to her dedication. When three boys in a row where born we figured that it might have to be a great granddaughter! Finally Brooklyn came along and it looked so pretty on her!

Our Little Pumpkin

Here is Brooklyn at four months. She weighs 12 pounds 4 ounces and is sleeping most of the night. She is so happy and all around a wonderful baby. I can hardly remember life without her.
Sheila had the idea on Hunter's first Halloween to put him in a real pumpkin. We have done it with all the kids and it always turns out so cute! Here are some other cute pics from Ocotber.
the water didn't look that green when we took the picture!

Just a little update

I have tons to post about but at least wanted to get up a few pictures of my kiddos! A fast summary (I will come back and add to it later). Brooklyn is happy and smiling all the time, ahw is going to be three months tomorrow, why does time go by faster with the second one? Weston is going to be Batman for Halloween, he tells everyone we see he has a Batman costume, he asks at least 10 times a day when can he go trick or treating and wear his Batman costume (it's going to be a loooong month) Mops started up again, the playgroup started up again, we started bible study at church, Brooklyn's baby dedication is the end of next month, she had a bible presentation last week, Weston has started playing soccer, Jeremy is one of the coaches and things at our house are crazy and it's going great!
